Lou Casal a retired veteran federal agent turned actor has hit the screen and stage with the same intensity and "true grit" he used to pound the mean but yet beautiful streets of New York City.

Casal, son of parents from the North of Spain, was born and raised in the rough and tumble Red Hook waterfront section of Brooklyn, New York. His neighborhood was replete with a cast of characters from the "Godfather", "West Side Story" and "State of Grace". Although Casal was a tough "street" kid he never got in to any serious trouble. He was well liked by the local mob toughs, police and neighbors. By the mercy of God and through diligent hard work and perseverance, Casal managed to survive the "Streets" of Brooklyn, NY. He went on to serve his country proudly and honorably in the US Army during the Viet-Nam War, 1964-1966. After his discharge he married and attended Queens College at night where he majored in Drama graduating with a B.A. in 1975.

After a fifteen-year stint as a federal agent in N.Y.C. Casal was transferred to Los Angeles, CA. While working in Los Angeles, Casal was discovered by Director Bill Lustig and actor friend Robert Forster who cast him as the Detective partner of the actor Robert Davi in Maniac Cop 111, circa. 1991. From here Casal became a member the Screen Actors Guild. Casal also went on to study with Stella Adler, the Lee Strasberg Institute and at the South Coast repertory theater.

Casal, since joining SAG, has starred and co-starred in many major TV and Cinematic Productions including N.Y.P.D. Blue, The Pretender, Arliss Super Agent, Sabrina, V.I.P., (recurring role), Mad TV, E! Entertainment, Time of Your Life, LA Robbery Homicide, and Kingpin, (recurring role and technical advisor). As well as Co-Starring and being featured in numerous film productions including "Mambo Kings", "Mulholland Falls", "Pure Danger", "Vegas Story", "Hitmans Run", "Dangerous Waters" and "With Friends Like These", among others.

Casal has also performed in numerous Theatrical Productions including Arthur Millers, "View from the Bridge", playing the part of Mike the longshoreman along side of Burt Young, (starring as Eddie Carbone), and Sidney Kingsley’s, "Detective Story" playing the role of Detective Dakis.

In all and above all Casal has a deep burning passion and an equally deep respect for Acting. He has had a life full of many different and varied experiences ranging from a tough B’klyn "street" kid to a celebrated federal agent. From beautiful times to the lose of his best friend, wife and mother. All of which has given Casal a full and diversified plate from which he draws and breaths life into the various roles he has played and lived. Casal is equally both a gentleman on and off the stage. A man who holds his peers in high esteem, and who adamantly respects and values direction and cooperation on the set.
